This overview explains all fields used in the PixelRentalProducts Plugin for configuring rental items.

⚙️ Important Notice Before Activation

Before a product can function as a rental item in the storefront, all relevant rental fields in the product’s

1. “Specifications → Rental” tab must be configured first.

If these fields (e.g., daily price, deposit, minimum days) are missing, incorrect, or deactivated, the rental logic in the frontend will not work as expected (e.g., no price calculation, booking not possible, missing overlap checks).

2. For the item, the minimum and maximum order quantity must be set to 1.

Settings → Extensions → Product Rental & Reservations for Shopware 6 (e.g., calendar display, blocked color, net calculation, use product price, iCalendar title/description, rental opening/closing times).

Only after both the product fields and the plugin configuration are properly set up should the product be activated and used as a rental item.

📍 Where to Find the Fields

You can find the rental fields in the Shopware administration under:

Catalogues → Products → [Open product] → Tab “Specifications” → Section “Rental”

Here you can define for each product individually whether it can be rented, which prices apply,

and which restrictions should be in place.

🟢 Rental Activated

Enables or disables the rental function for this product.

If deactivated, the product cannot be used as a rental item.

💰 Daily Price

Base price per rental day.

This price is used as the basis for calculating the rental amount when no package pricing is activated.

💵 Deposit Activated

Activates the deposit feature for this product.

Only active if a deposit amount is defined.

💶 Deposit

Refundable deposit amount that is added to the rental price during checkout.

📅 Weekly Package Activated

Activates the weekly package option.

This package price applies when the rental duration is exactly 7 days or a multiple of 7 days.

📅 Weekly Package

Flat rate for a rental period of 7 days.

📆 Monthly Package Activated

Activates the monthly package option.

This package price applies when the rental duration is exactly 30 days or a multiple of 30 days.

📆 Monthly Package

Fixed price for a rental period of 30 days.

🌤️ Weekend Surcharge/Day Activated

Activates the weekend surcharge feature.

This surcharge applies to each rental day that falls on a Saturday or Sunday.

Additional charge per weekend day.

📏 Minimum Rental Days

Defines how many days must be rented at least.

Shorter periods cannot be booked in the frontend.

📐 Maximum Rental Days

Defines the maximum number of days a product can be rented.

Longer rental periods are prevented.

🕓 Minimum Lead Time (Days)

Specifies how many days in advance a rental can start at the earliest.

Example: Value 3 = rental can start in 3 days at the earliest.

🧩 Enable Parallel Rental Check

Activates the check whether this product can be rented multiple times simultaneously

(e.g., if several identical items are available in stock).

🔢 Max. Parallel Rentals

Defines how many simultaneous rentals of this product are allowed.

If exceeded, no additional rentals can be added.

🚫 Block Weekends

Prevents Saturday or Sunday from being selected as a rental start or end date.

📆 Daily Rental (Count End Date)

If activated, the end date will be counted as part of the total rental duration.

Example: May 1–3 = 3 days.

⏱️ Late Fee/Day

Defines the additional charge per delayed return day after the rental period ends.
