# Installation – CMS Widgets for Shopware 6

## Requirements

* Shopware **6.7** (standard installation).
* Access to the administration with sufficient permissions (Extensions / Content).

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

## Upload the plugin

1. Open **Extensions → My extensions**.
2. Click **Upload extension** at the top right and select the plugin's ZIP file.
3. The plugin then appears in the list as "CMS Widgets for the Shopping Experiences".
   {% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Install & activate

1. Click **Install** on the plugin.
2. Then click **Activate**.

Once activated, all elements and blocks are immediately available in the Shopping Experiences designer – no further configuration is required.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

## Build your first Shopping Experience

1. Open **Content → Shopping Experiences** and edit an existing page or create a new Shopping Experience.
2. Insert a new block via the **+** icon. Filter the block catalogue by category at the top, or use the search field (e.g. "Icon" or "Contact").
3. Place the block, open the element via the gear icon, and configure it as needed.
4. Save the page.

{% hint style="info" %}
A newly inserted element is empty at first (no image, no text). It only renders visibly in the storefront once it has content.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Uninstallation

Uninstalling removes the plugin's own database tables, unless you choose to keep user data. Shopping Experiences (CMS pages) you already built with CMS Widgets elements are kept – however, the affected elements will no longer render until the plugin is activated again.
