# referral

## Enable the referral feature

Shows the "Invite friends" area in the customer account and generates a personal invitation link for each customer.

* **Default:** Enabled

## Points per successfully invited friend

Number of points the inviting customer receives once the referred friend has placed their **first order**.

* **Default:** 100

## Referral code length (8–16 characters)

Defines the length of the personal invitation-link code.

* **Default:** 12
* **Minimum:** 8 characters
* **Maximum:** 16 characters

Changes to this setting only affect **newly generated** codes. Existing referral codes are not changed.

## How the invitation link works

Every customer receives a unique link in the form:

```
https://www.your-shop.com/ref/ABC123XYZ456
```

When a new visitor opens this link, the referral link is set automatically. As soon as this visitor registers and completes their first order, the inviter receives the configured points.
